Shillong ( Meghalaya), Aug 7 : Seven more Covid patients succumbed to their infections in the state in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 1,154.
3 cases each were reported from East Khasi Hills and West Khasi Hills while 1 case was recorded from East Garo Hills .
Among the seven deaths , six were non vaccinated .

According to the figures released by the health department , 524 new cases were detected in the state on Saturday with East Khasi Hills on the top with 271 cases .
709 patients were also discharged on Saturday after full recovery .
The total active cases now stand at 5,323 .
