Shillong (Meghalaya), April 8 : The curtain rises on the 5th Meghalaya State League (MSL 5) on April 15, with Nongkseh SSCC locking horns with Khimusniang SC at SSA Stadium, here . The match kicks off at 5 pm under floodlights, with Sports Minister Wailadmiki Shylla gracing the occasion as chief guest.
Nongkseh, fresh from winning the First Division title and Champions Cup, are favorites, but Khimusniang, winners of the U Kiang Nangbah Memorial Trophy, are determined to start strong. Both teams make their MSL debut, vying for early momentum in the tournament marking MFA’s Golden Jubilee year.
The league features top teams from across Meghalaya, with a different winner each year – Niaw Wasa United (2017-18), Shillong Lajong (2019), Rangdajied United (2023), and Mawlai (2024-25).
