Shillong (Meghalaya), March 27: The curtains closed on the inaugural Shillong International Film Festival (SIFF), leaving behind a trail of creative energy and inspiration. The three-day extravaganza showcased diverse films, masterclasses, and panel discussions, drawing students, filmmakers, and cinema enthusiasts from across Meghalaya and beyond.
A standout session was Dominic Sangma’s masterclass on screenplay writing, offering practical insights for aspiring filmmakers. The festival also featured a thought-provoking panel discussion on OTT platforms and regional cinema, attracting students from top institutions.
Information Minister Lahkmen Rymbui hailed the event’s success, praising participants’ enthusiasm and emphasizing SIFF’s role in nurturing young talent.
