Tura (Meghalaya), March 20: The West Garo Hills District Police have clarified that two separate incidents in Hallidayganj and Phulbari on March 19, are isolated and unrelated to recent communal disturbances.

A 45-year-old man was found dead with injuries at his Kasharipara residence, and a case is being investigated. A fire broke out at a Kalithan clothing shop due to a suspected short circuit, damaging nearby shops, but was controlled by the Fire & Emergency Services.
The police appeal to the public not to link these incidents to communal issues or spread unverified information.
