Shillong (Meghalaya), March 13: BJP Meghalaya met Governor, pushing to restrict GHADC elections to indigenous tribes only.

The party wants only those with Scheduled Tribe certificates and from Meghalaya’s indigenous tribes to contest or vote.
They’re seeking an urgent GHADC session to pass these amendments. The Governor has referred the suggestions to experts for legal scrutiny.
