The District Administration has intensified enforcement drives against illegal mining, seizing approximately 38 MT of coal and destroying makeshift camps used for illegal activities. FIRs have been registered, and legal action is underway.
A compensation amount of Rs 24,00,000 has been paid to 8 victims’ families, with more payments pending. The public is urged to cooperate with authorities and avoid hazardous areas.
