Furthermore, CM Sangma praised Mawphlang village as a revered tourist destination, famous for its Sacred Grove and Heritage Village. To boost tourism in the area, he announced that ₹25 Crore would be sanctioned through the Swadesh Darshan Scheme for the development of a Tourism Center and infrastructure upgrades in the Sacred Grove area. Additionally, posts have been sanctioned for the Mawphlang Science & Commercial College.
