Shillong (Meghalaya), Nov 4: In a swift and coordinated operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya, in collaboration with the Meghalaya Police, apprehended 11 Bangladeshi nationals and 3 Indian nationals near the international border of Southwest Garo Hills and East Khasi Hills) on Nov 4.
The first incident occurred at Baldamgiri Tinali (Tri-Junction) in the Southwest Garo Hills area, where seven Bangladeshi nationals were caught. They were identified as: Amir Ali (35 years), Mir Jahan (45 years), Biplob Mia (35 years), Angur Hussain (20 years), Chand Mia (32 years), Rasel Mia (32 years) and MD Bakul Mia (35 years)
All are residents of Kurigram District, Bangladesh.
In another incident, troops of the 4 Bn BSF Meghalaya caught four Bangladeshi nationals and three Indian nationals. They were identified as Shorobindu Biswas (37 years, Bangladesh), Royal Talukdar (Bangladesh), Samsul Haque (25 years, Bangladesh), Abdul Kader (30 years, Bangladesh), Raju Das (30 years, India), Sujit Das (28 years, India) and Babul Das (35 years, India).
This successful operation demonstrates the BSF’s vigilance and commitment to securing India’s borders.
