Shillong (Meghalaya), Jan 29 : The state on Saturday recorded 320 new COVID-19 cases taking the tally rising to 90, 522 , according to health department sources .
The death toll rose to 1,518 as three more person succumbed to the virus during the day. All three cases were reported from East Khasi Hills .

Of the fresh cases, 171 were reported from East Khasi Hills, 57 from West Garo Hills and 24 from South West Garo Hills , 14 from Ri Bhoi ,12 from West Khasi an official statement said , adding that the remaining infections were detected in six other districts.
A total of 320 patients recovered from the disease during the day, taking the total number of recoveries to 86,585 .
The state now has 2, 419 active cases.
