Shillong( Meghalaya), Sep 7 : Ka Sur Eh Rngiew Ki Nongmalki today organized a public rally at Malki grounds here .
The rally, strongly criticized the adamant attitude of the State Government in punishing those police personnel involved in the killing of surrendered HNLC leader , C . Thangkiew on August 13 last .
The speakers at the rally said that they would intensify their agitations in the coming days, in which the entire Khasi-Jaintia community would be involved.
Speaking at the rally, Late Thangkiew’s brother ,Granary Thangkhiew said the state Government had alleged that his brother was involved in the bomb blast at Laitumkhrah Market in Shillong and added that if the state Government was so sure that his brother was involved in the bomb blast, it should have arrested him in accordance with the laws of the land, so that the State Government could also further arrest others involved in the incident.
Granary Thangkhiew stated that shockingly the state Government did not do that, but preferred to eliminate him because there was something more behind his killing , which is very difficult to comprehend at this stage .
