Active Covid cases fall below 2000 -mark in the state

Shillong ( Meghalaya ) , Sep 7 : For the first time in months the active cases have fallen below 2000 -mark in the state .
According to the data shared by the health department , 136 new cases were detected in the state and 4 new cases of death were reported in the last 24 hours .

Out of the 136 new cases , 63 were reported from East Khasi Hills .

However ,no new cases were reported in South Garo Hills and South West Garo Hills on Tuesday .

4 more deaths were also recorded today taking the death toll to 1,333.

While 3 cases were registered in East Khasi Hills , 1 case was registered in Ri Bhoi .

307 patients were also discharged today after full recovery .

The active cases now stand at 1,929 .
