Itanagar(Arunachal Pradesh), April 2 : The bordering state with China reported its first COVID-19 case on Thursday though the case does have have anything to do with the neighbouring country .
According to information available the patient is from Tezu in Lohit district and had along with six others travelled to Delhi in December from Tinsukia in Assam and returned back to Arunchal Pradesh on March 19.
All the six others have been kept in quarantine.
Their samples were sent to Dibrugarh in neighbouring Assam on Wednesday.
As per the travel history they did not take part in the religious event of Tablighi Jamaat in Delhi but they stayed at Nizamuddin Markaz from December 12-14 and between March 14 and 16, before returning back to Arunachal Pradesh .
