Guwahati (Assam) , April 1 : Four new Covid -19 positive cases were reported today in Assam.
Addressing a press conference ,Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said all the four cases found positive and all have direct link with the Nizamuddin Congregation .
All the four cases tested positive at the Guwahati Medical College Hospital, here.
They have been identified as Md. Arsad Ali (19 years) from Nalbari, Md. Hazrat Ali (60 years) from Jagiroad, Md. Nurrudin (55 years) from Jagiroad and Md. Joban Ali (46 years) from Jagiroad.
With these four new Covid-19 positive cases the count have gone upto five.
The Health Minister said Four more people from Assam, who were in Nizamuddin, have also tested positive in New Delhi.
The health minister said, all the four who tested positive in New Delhi, are undergoing treatment there. They have been identified as Naskar Ali (72 years) from Baska district, Faharuddin (48 year) from Baska district, Mustafa Ahmed (60 years) from Barpeta and Mohammad Ali (65 years) from Nagaon.
Sarma added that around five people in Jorhat Medical College Hospital have tested positive for Covid-19 in first screening and final confirmation from National Institute Of Virology is still awaited .
