Guwahati (Assam), May 22 : In a biggest one time increase the state saw a spike of 26 more COVID19 positive cases at one go and 45 cases on Friday taking the tally to 259.
Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said in a “biggest one-time spike” in Sarusajai Quarantine Centre in Guwahati 26 cases were confirmed for COVID19 .
In a series of tweets during the day the minister tweeted at 7.45 pm , “Alert ~ In the biggest one-time spike in cases, 26 cases are confirmed #COVID19 +. They are all from Sarusajai Quarantine Centre”
Later at 9.15 pm he tweeted “📌Alert ~ Three more #COVID19 + cases detected, one each from Nagaon, Sivasagar and Tinsukia.↗️Total cases 259↗️Recovered 54↗️Active cases 198↗️Deaths 04↗️Migrated 03
The total number of cases stand at 259 with 45 cases detected today . A total of 54 patients have recovered and released from various hospitals in the state and 4 deaths were recorded . The total number of active cases as of now stands at 198.
