Imphal (Manipur), Mar 26 : The 23-year-old woman who tested positive for COVID-19 in Manipur is recovering very fast, according to doctors attending on her .
The 23 -year old girl , a resident of Thangmeiband Lourung Purel Leikai area in Imphal West district, had returned from the UK and was tested positive on Tuesday last.
She can breathe without the help of an oxygen mask and is also having food on her own, said Th Bhimo Singh, the director of the Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS).
Another good news is that all her family members have tested negative for Corona virus .
According to sources , Vimi Ningombam, the first COVID-19 positive case from the state of Manipur, a UK returnee, has been reportedly recovering from the infectious deadly disease, at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS).
As per her health status updated by the JNIMS Hospital in Imphal, the patient is expected to get discharged within few days .
A statewide curfew was imposed on Manipur on Tuesday morning after a 23-year-old woman tested positive for COVID- 19, officials said.
The woman, a resident of Thangmeiband Lourung Purel Leikai area in Imphal West district, had recently returned from the UK, a statement issued by Health Services Director K Rajo Singh said.
