Kokrajhar(Assam),Feb 29: A 15 member delegation from Leh & Kargil autonomous council and Ladakh Union Territory paid a visit to BTC secretariat here today .The delegation interacted with BTC executive members,officials of BTC Secretariat held at the BTC secretariat.
The delegation is led by deputy chairman of the council Tsering Sandup who arrived in Kokrajhar on Friday evening and will camp in BTC till March 5, next .
The delegation consists of Tsering Sandup,deputy chairman,executive councilors Konchok Stanzin,Syed Abbas,councilors Mohsin Ali,Altaf Hussain,Abdul Rahim Akhon, Mohd Amin,Tsering Morap,Tsering Angchuk,Ghulam Mehdi,Tsering Norboo,Phunchok Dorjey,officials Shakeel Ahmed,Zakir Hussain and Yonjor.
The purpose of the visit of the delegation is to take stock about functioning of BTAD administration under sixth schedule and the developmental activities carried out by council administration.
The delegation would take note on strategy building for carrying developmental projects as well as welfare measures initiated in the council region.
A meeting with BTC executive member Doneswar Goyary and BTC Secretariat officials was held at BTC secretariat that saw participation from BTC secretariat.
The delegation discussed on various developmental and welfare aspects being carried out by BTC administration in the region.
Executive Councilor Syed Abbas said that the delegation visited here to understand the various developmental aspects in the region which is taking place in the region.
He also lauded the developmental and welfare projects being carried out in the present BTC administration.
