Guwahati (Assam), June 30 : 1 more person infected with Covid -19 died in Guwahati taking the total number of deaths to 12 .
The latest case was of 50 -year old Dilip Talukdar from Fatasil Ambari are of the city who was brought dead to Guwahati Medical College Hospital here . He was later tested positive for Covid -19 .
The state health minister , Himanta Biswa Sarma has condoled the demise of Late Talukdar and sent his condolences to the bereaved family members .
Meanwhile , 41 new Covid cases were detected in the state till now on Tuesday . Of the 41 new cases , 18 are from Sonitpur, 6 from Jorhat , 5 from Kamrup Metro, 3 from Lakhimpur , 3 from Barpeta , 2 from Karbi Anglong and 1 from Dhemaji .
The health minister tweeted this morning , “Alert ~ 41 new #COVID19+ cases detected in Assam today.18 Sonitpur, 6 Jorhat, 5 Kamrup(M), 3 L’pur, 3 Nagaon, 3 Barpeta, 2 K Anglong, 1 Dhemaji.”
