Guwahati(Assam), April 20 : Believe it or not ! A 45 -year old person with Rs. 4000 in his pocket walked down all the way from the industrial town of Vapi in Gujarat to Raha in Assam .
Jadav Gogoi had covered the entire distance in 25 days and was alive to tell his story.
He said that the amount he had with him was stolen on the way and he covered the entire stretch by begging.
He started his journey on March 27 and reached his hometown on Sunday.
During his 25 -day journey he crossed various states on foot . After making it to Bihar he had walk around 1,000 km to reach his home town Raha situated in Nagaon district .
Luckily , some of the members of Asom Jatiatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad spotted him and admitted him in Bhogeswari Phukanai Civil Hospital in Nagaon.
They said that they got the news when the person called up his family members using someone’s phone after reaching Nagaon.
Yesterday, the members of the organisation spotted him at around 8 pm, near the toll gate at Raha and after informing the police was admitted to a hospital in Nagaon.
The doctors have found him to be extremely dehydrated and tired but in a stable condition . His samples have been collected and sent for Covid -19 test and he has been kept on quarantine .
