Kokrajhar (Assam),Nov 24: A bike rally was taken out at Fakiragram constituency in support of independent candidate Raju Kumar Barman to motivate the common masses of the constituency to vote for him ahead the BTC council elections scheduled to be held on Dec 7 and Dec 10.
The BPF is extending its support to the independent candidate Barman in No.7 Fakiragram constituency in Kokrajhar district.
18 student bodies and social organisations including AKRSU,Bengali Youth Students Federation,Nath Yogi Students Union etc have also extended their support to the independent candidate Barman.
The rally started from Fakiragram Purani Bazar ground via main road to railway colony to Kashimari and covered the entire Fakiragram constituency.
Kokrajhar West LAC MLA Rabiram Narzary flagged off the rally in the presence of huge participants.
Narzary claimed Raju Kumar Barman has massive support and is definitely going to emerge victorious .
He expressed confidence that BPF would be winning with absolute majority in the BTC council elections to form the BTC council for the fourth consecutive term.
He said that BPFs focus has been on all round welfare in BTC region since it’s inception in the region and common masses are supporting the BPF candidates across the region.
BPF is contesting in 37 seats out of the 40 member house of the BTC Legislative Assembly.
Independent candidate Raju Barman said that he is hopeful of winning the seat as peoples cutting across the communities are coming forward to extend support to him .
Barman has extended sincere gratitude to the participating organisations and it’s leaders for supporting his candidature in the BTC council elections.
