Guwahati(Assam) , May 04 : The Assam ruling coalition NDA is taking a massive lead as the counting of votes is going on.
According to reports, BJP, AGP and BPF are taking lead in 90 seats till 10 in the morning.

On the contrary, the Congress, Raijor Dal and AJP are leading in 27 seats. Assam State Congress president Gaurav Gogoi is trailing behind his close rival BJP candidate Hitendra Nath Goswami by 1030 votes in Jorhat.
Raijor Dal candidate in Sivasagar Akhil Gogoi is taking initial lead while AJP candidate Lurinjyoti Gogoi is taking an early lead in Khuwang.
The counting started in all district headquarters simultaneouly amid an unprecedented security measure at 8 in the morning.
The initial picture is expected by 1 noon.
