Kokrajhar(Assam),Oct 3: Former chairman of disbanded Saoraigwra faction of National Democratic Front of Boroland(NDFB) and BPF’s candidate for Sidli Chirang constituency for the forthcoming BTC polls, B Saoraigwra(Saikhong Basumatary) has expressed serious concern over withdrawl of his two personal security officers(PSO) from Friday.
Two PSOs of the former chairman of NDFB(Saoraigwra faction) and one of signatories of Bodoland Territorial Region(BTR) accord, Saoraigwra have been withdrawn from Friday afternoon.
Saoraigwra confirmed the withdrawal of his PSOs after a police team reached from Kokrajhar police reserve at his Dangshibari residence in Chirang district.
Acording to Saoraigwra, the PSOs were removed without any written order from the concerned authorities .
Saoraigwra, was one of the signatories of the third Bodo Peace Accord(Bodoland Territorial Region) on Jan 27 last last after a tripartite peace talk for paving the way healthy peace in the region.
In the BTR accord, leaders of all four factions of National Democratic Front of Boroland(NDFB),All Bodo Students Union(ABSU) and United Bodo People’s Organisation(UBPO) leaders signed which is considered as an inclusive Bodo accord in the history of Bodoland .
Saoraigwra has expressed his unhappiness over the removal of PSOs and termed it as a political conspiracy .
He informed that without any information or written order from the concerned authorities his PSOs have been withdrawn.
He said that he has come to the mainstream and signed in Bodo peace accord(BTR accord),but today PSOs were withdrawn from him.He said that he signed the accord aiming at peace and integration among the society in the region ,but today he is faced with unpleasant situation like withdrawal of PSOs despite threat to his life.
” A police team from Kokrajhar police reserve under the advice of additional SP(security) reached at my residence at Dangshibari on Friday afternoon and shared information about withdrawal of PSOs without any written order.
Initially I refused to allow my PSOs to leave ,but later on allowed them to go when a police officer gave a written order for the removal of the PSOs in the evening. I still don’t know why PSOs attached to me have been withdrawn”, Saoraigwra said.
