Guwahati(Assam), July 7 : A 40 -year old Covid -19 patient died today at the Intensive Care Unit of Guwahati Medical College hospital taking the total number of deaths in the state to 15 .
The patient Dhadaram Mura from Koliabor in Nagaon was admitted ti the ICU on July 1 and was in a critical state .

This morning his condition deteriorated and was put on invasive ventilation but he succumbed to the infection at around 9 am,
The reason behind his death is severe pneumonia and septic shock .
