Shillong(Meghalaya), April 5: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has declared the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination results, with an impressive 87.10% pass percentage, surpassing last year’s 55.80%.
The top performers in the examination are:
First Rank: Leisha Agarwal of St Margaret’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, and Avila Kathrene P Lyngdoh of North Liberty Higher Secondary School shared the top spot with 582 marks each.
Second Position: Evanshan Nongrum of Sacred Heart Boy’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, and Pori Panday of Jawaharlal Nehru Higher Secondary School, Phulbari secured second place.
A total of 63,682 students appeared for the examination, held from February 10-25, 2025, with 55,473 students successfully passing. The pass candidates include 22,726 males and 32,747 females.
Key Highlights:
Record-Breaking Pass Percentage: 87.10% of students passed the examination, surpassing last year’s 55.80%.
Increased Number of Candidates : This year’s examination saw a significant rise in the number of candidates, with 63,682 students appearing, compared to 54,134 last year.
Subjects Passed:
18,903 students passed exactly five subjects.
36,570 students passed all six subjects.
Schools with 100% Pass Rate: 341 schools achieved a 100% pass rate this year, a substantial increase from last year’s 180 schools.
The Board has introduced a Supplementary Examination, to be conducted within the same academic year, towards the end of April 2025.
