Shillong (Meghalaya), Oct 18: In an exciting development, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma announced plans to launch initiatives highlighting the significance of the “Meghalayan Age” era.
This revelation came during an interactive program with CM – Elevate and Focus beneficiaries, held in Shillong and virtually attended by representatives from across the state.
For those unaware, the Meghalayan Age is a geologic time scale unit spanning the past 4,200 years, marked by a severe drought that devastated ancient civilizations worldwide. This era’s beginning coincides with a global cultural event triggered by the climatic shift, making it a unique aspect of the geologic timescale.
