Shillong ( Meghalaya ), Oct 13 : The members of social organization, “Ka Sur Ka Bri U Hynniewtrep” today held at sit-in demonstration at Malki Grounds here to reiterate their demand for suspension of police personnel involved in the killing of surrendered HNLC leader, C. Thangkhiew at his residence at Mawlai Kynton Massar in Shillong on Aug 13 this year.
The members of the organization strongly criticized the state Government for not taking action against the police personnel and also for not making public the report of the judicial enquiry after three months have lapsed after the Mawlai Kynton Massar incident.
The leaders also said that the recent planting of the bomb at the NPP Office at Lower Lachumiere and the apprehension of five daily wage labourers are just political gimmicks for getting sympathy vote during to the By-Election to the three Assembly constituencies.
The leaders also said that the state Government was very quick to arrest the HNLC member who stayed in an isolated part of the country and attributed its success to a strong intelligence network but till date it has not been able to apprehend one Vicky Dey who is spreading hate messages and communal ill feelings in Meghalaya through the social media.
