Shillong (Meghalaya) , Mar 21 : The state recorded its first Covid-related death since February 7, with official sources informing that one Debaris Lyngdoh aged 38 years hailing from Umktieh, Umroi, Ri-Bhoi who was admitted to Woodland Hospital here on Mar 18 passing away on Saturday morning.
The cause of death was severe Covid-19 pneumonia with severe sepsis.

Meanwhile , 4 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Saturday and all the cases are from East Khasi Hills district .
The state tally now is 14,012 with 28 active cases after a total of 13,835 patients were declared recovered . The death toll now stands at 149 .
