Shillong ( Meghalaya), Mar 23 : Finally NEEPCO has withdrawn power regulation from 2 pm today after the MePDCL promised to pay the pending dues in 3 instalments .
The letter of withdrawal has been sent to the North East Regional Load Dispatch Centre which stating that regulation has been withdrawn from 2pm of March 23.
MePDCL has committed that dues will be paid in three equal installments on or before April 30, May 31 and June 30.
State Power Minister James Sangma tweeted “I’m happy to inform that due to concerted efforts of Power Dept., CMD (MeECL) & constant support & guidance of Hon’ble Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma , NEEPCO has withdrawn Power regulation today. No more load shedding from 2 PM onwards.”
Earlier on March 16 ,NEEPCO issued a notice for the regulation of power supply to the Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Ltd (MePDCL).
