Nongstoin(Meghalaya), Jan 15 : The Final Publication which includes the Supplementary of Electoral Roll with respect to 01.01.2021 as the qualifying date for the three constituencies falling under West Khasi Hills District i.e. 32-Nongstoin, 33-Rambrai Jyrngam and 34-Mawshynrut constituency was formally released today by T.Lyngwa, District Election Officer (DEO) West Khasi Hills in a meeting held at DC Office Nongstoin, in presence of the RO, EROs, EAC election, BLOs and representatives of Political Parties among others.
Addressing the gathering, T.Lyngwa informed that it is the continuous service with dedication and sincerity of the election functionaries in collecting and compiling the required information on preparation of electoral roll. He called upon the cooperation and support of the stakeholders including Political Parties to actively participate in the massive exercise to enroll and tap youths attaining 18 years of age to be included. He also pointed out that media persons have a major role to spread a massage of the importance of the EPIC Card.
While the representative of the Congress .F.Lyngkhoi and D.D.Sohphoh of the BJP who took part in the speech appreciated the Election Branch under the leadership of the DEO with endless efforts in preparing the Electoral Roll.
The hard and soft copy of the Final Publication of Electoral Roll were handed over to the representatives of Political Parties by the DEO, in a programme chaired by Smti A.V.D.Shira RO 32-Nongstoin and 33-Rambrai Jyrngam(ST) Assembly Constituency and ended with vote of thanks by M.Diengdoh EAC in-charge election Nongstoin.
