Meghalaya : 5 vegetable vendors crushed to death by a speeding Truck

Shillong (Meghalaya), Oct 17 :Five roadside vegetable vendors were killed this morning when a speeding truck bearing no . UP 51. AT. 2949 hit roadside stalls at Umkhen bridge along the Shillong Bypass at 8 am this morning .

According to police while four women vendors died on the spot while the fifth one succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.

Those killed have been identified as Balarihun Kharkongor (27), Gracefully Nongbri (23), Banteibha Bina (20) and Shantilang Nongbri (28) and Korbarsing Kharduid (52) .
