Shillong (Meghalaya), Oct 17 : A record 299 recoveries reported today taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 6,034.
A total of 101 new Covid cases were detected in the state today which includes 56 from East Khasi Hills, 30 from West Khasi Hills , 11 from West Garo Hiils , 2 from Ri Bhoi and 1 each from South West Khasi Hills and South West Garo Hills .

In West Khasi Hills out of the total 30 cases today 29 were police personnel .
The state tally as of now stands at 8, 404 with 2, 295 active cases after a total of 6,034 patients recovered . The death toll due to Covid so far stands at 75 .
