Shillong (Meghalaya), June 16:: A chilling video has gone viral, capturing the last known moments of Indore couple Raja Raghuvanshi and his wife Sonam before Raja’s alleged murder. Travel vlogger Devender Singh unintentionally recorded the couple trekking through a forest trail in Meghalaya on May 23 while heading to the iconic Double Decker Root Bridge in Cherrapunji’s Nongriat village.
Singh posted the clip-on Instagram, describing it as “probably the last video of the Indore couple.” Notably, Sonam is seen wearing the same white shirt later found near Raja’s body. The video has sparked intense speculation and outrage online, with many questioning the circumstances surrounding Raja’s death, amid allegations of a conspiracy involving Sonam and her alleged lover.
The investigation is taking a significant turn, with the East Khasi Hills police planning to reconstruct the crime scene on Tuesday at 12 noon in Sohra. The police will recreate the exact scene, with all accused individuals participating. Authorities are conducting multiple rounds of interrogations, exploring various angles, including Sonam’s motives for allegedly eliminating Raja.
While the love affair angle is being investigated, authorities are also looking beyond this aspect to uncover more details. According to sources, the police aim to piece together the events surrounding Raja’s death by reenacting the crime scene with the accused.
