Shillong (Meghalaya), Dec 6 : The Khasi Students Union(KSU) today rejected the idea of bringing the railway line in Meghalaya.

This was disclosed by the KSU president Lambokstar Marngar.
He said the student body will not allow the railway line to come to Meghalaya, whether it is goods trains or passenger trains, as long as Inner Line Permit is not implemented in the state.
Marngar also added that ILP should not be an issue to win elections and all the 60 members of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly should take up the issue of implementation of ILP in the state with Centre to safeguard that the tribal community.
