Shillong (Meghalaya), Aug 23: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma was today admitted to Shillong Civil Hospital with high temperature and severe illness.
Initially, he was treated at home. However, after blood tests it was identified as Scrub Typhus and Typhoid.
According to official sources, medications have been provided by the senior specialists in the Civil Hospital and his condition is being closely observed.
Although he still suffers from severe symptoms of this climate change disease, his vitals are within normal range and is being treated under constant supervision.
Due to his health condition, he was unable to attend first day of the autumn session of the Assembly which started on Friday.
