Charred remains of garbage collector recovered after 72 -hour -long search operation

Shillong (Meghalaya), Feb 6: The charred remains of 30 -year- old garbage collector, Marshall Marwein was recovered today after a search operation was launched by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) for past 3 days from a pile of thrash at the Marten landfill site in Mawiong .

According to official sources the body was recovered at around 4.45 pm today after 72 hours of search operation.

The body was charred beyond recognition and has been shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital Morgue for post- mortem and other formalities.

Marshall Marwein had reportedly come to Marten landfill after collecting thrash from the city when the tragic incident occurred.
