Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh), July 4 :The government here has decided to impose a total lockdown from Monday, July 6, 5 am to Sunday, July 12, 5 am, due to sudden rise in the number of COVID-19 positive cases in the state .
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu tweeted that the detailed Guidelines and Standard Operating Procedure for compliance will be issued shortly.
According to the Union Health Ministry data, Arunachal Pradesh has so far witnessed 252 COVID-19 positive cases, out of which 176 cases are active and 75 are cured/discharged.
A single CKD patient in the state has died from virus-related complications.
All the cases in the state are reported from quarantine facilities and linked to returnees from other states.
The positive cases also include a couple of health workers engaged in COVID Care Centres.
Arunachal Pradesh Government has made institutional quarantine mandatory for all returnees to the state, where their swab collections are done after three days.
