Shillong (Meghalaya), June 11 : Sonam Raghuvanshi, the prime accused in the murder of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi during their honeymoon in Meghalaya, reached Guwahati late on Tuesday midnight. She was immediately taken to Shillong by road and arrived at the Sadar police station at 12:40 am.
Four other accused individuals, including Raj Kushwaha, Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan, and Anand Kumar, are expected to reach Shillong on Wednesday morning. According to sources, after initial interrogation, the accused will be taken to Sohra to recreate the sequence of events, helping investigators gather more evidence.
The police investigation revealed that Sonam allegedly plotted the murder due to her extramarital affair with Raj Kushwaha. The case saw a breakthrough after Sonam surrendered in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, leading to the arrest of the other accused individuals.
