Shillong (Meghalaya ), Jan 18 : The state on Tuesday registered 275 new COVID-19 cases and an 2 deaths .
Meanwhile, the State also recorded 275 fresh cases in the last 24 hours. The total number of recovered cases has reached 86,807 . The tally of active cases has increased to 1318 , the Health Department stated in a bulletin. The total number of fatalities from COVID-19 infection stands at 1,492 so far.
The 275 new COVID-19 cases which have been detected are from East Khasi Hills (193 ), East Jaintia Hills (3 ), Ri-Bhoi (20 ), West Jaintia Hills (6 ), West Garo Hills (35 ), West Khasi Hills (9 ), South West Garo Hills (3 ) and East Garo Hills (1 ), South West Khasi Hills (4), South Garo Hills (1).
Two patients succumbed to their infections in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 1492.
