Assam Covid Surge : 2534 fresh cases , 16 more deaths on Friday

Guwahati (Assam), Sept 12 : 2534 new Covid cases were detected in the state on Friday taking the total number of cases in the state to 1,38339.

On Friday , 588 cases were reported from Kamrup Metro , 194 from Jorhat , 172 from Dibrugarh and 153 from Dhemaji .
A total of 16 Civid deaths were reported on Friday taking the death toll to 430 .

A total 2628 patients were discharged on Friday after recovery .

Confirming the figures , Health Minister HB Sarma tweeted “📌Alert ~ 2534 #COVID cases detected today out of 36413 tests done in last 24 hours

Positivity Rate- 6.96%

Kamrup M- 588; Jorhat- 194; Dibrugarh- 172; Dhemaji- 153
