      Kokrajhar (Assam),Mar 27: President of United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL ) and chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region Pramod Boro expressed his confidence that the BJP led NDA alliance parties are winning all the 12 seats in the four districts of BTR in the upcoming assembly elections.

      On Saturday, UPPL chief Boro landed in a chartered Helicopter for campaigning in support of UPPL candidate for Kokrajhar East constituency Lawrence Islary at Bishmuri in Kokrajhar district.

      Addressing a well attended public gathering, he said that the UPPL and BJP parties confident of winning in all the constituencies across the BTR districts in the upcoming assembly elections.

      ” There is no impact of the Congress led Mahajoth in the state and accordingly BJP led NDA alliance is forming the next government in the state for good governance and healthy welfare for the common masses”, Boro said.
      Boro termed the BPF president and former BTC CEM Hagrama Mohilary as more of businessman than politician or a social worker in the BTR region.

      He said that Mohilary never gave any thought for the welfare and development of the common masses in the region.

      Boro denied allegations on him by Mohilary who said that he owns huge properties in Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati and added that Mohilary himself had indulged in massive corruption and anomalies during the BPF ruled BTC administration.

      He said that Mohilary left over 2300 crores liabilities in the BTC administration and today he is pointing fingers on others to cover up his misdeeds .

      He challenged Mohilary, to conduct an independent enquiry against him if he had any illegal properties in various places including Kolkata and Delhi .

      ” I am ready to go to the jail if the enquiry revels that own properties in Delhi, Kolkata and if he is proved wrong Mohilary should be ready to go to the jail as he only indulged in massive corruption and anomalies during his tenure as the CEM of BTC “, Boro said.

      Meanwhile, massive campaign from different parties including United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) and Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) are being held in support of their party candidates across the four districts of Bodoland Territorial Council for the upcoming assembly elections to be held on 1st & 6th April during the second and third phase of the Assam assembly elections .

      On Saturday in a significant move over 500 people from different parties and organisations including BPF joined the UPPL at two different locations in Sukhanjhora and Bishmuri under Kokrajhar East constituency in presence of party president Pramod Boro and UPPL candidate Lawrence Islary.

      Boro and other senior party members welcomed the newly joined members and feliciated them with traditional Phulam Gamocha and Aronai.

      Boro also addressed a well attended election public gathering held at Bishmuri play-ground in support of UPPL candidate Lawrence Islary.

      He said that his party is contesting in 11 constituencies under the BJP led NDA alliance across the BTR districts and his party is likely to win in 8 constituencies ensuring NDA to form the government in the state.

      He said that UPPL led alliance government in BTC is focused towards upliftment and development of common masses irrespective of caste , creed and community .

      He accused the BPF ruled government in the BTC of indulging in massive corruption and anomalies thereby denying common citizens of their due rights and opportunities for nearly two decades in the BTC districts.
      He said that UPPL candidate in Kokrajhar East constituency Lawrence Islary is surely going to win from the constituency as all sections of people are coming forward to extend their support in favor of UPPL candidate during the the assembly elections .

      He said this time BPF candidates are going to face severe defeat as BPF has failed to fulfil the hopes and aspiration of the common masses .

      ” There will be no impact of the BPF across the BTR districts. All contesting candidates of the BJP led NDA alliance are sure to emerge victorious with majority support in the upcoming assembly elections”, Boro said.

      UPPL candidate for Kokrajhar East constituency, Lawrence Islary also expressed his confidence that he sure to win from the constituency people cutting across communities are supporting his candidature.He has assured for all round development in his constituency if voted to the power in the assembly election.

      He also appealed to all sections of communities to vote in favor of UPPL candidates for good governance and healthy development.

      Meanwhile, nearly 250 peoples joined the BPF at a party meeting held at Athiabari near Ramfalbil in Kokrajhar district on Saturday.

      BPF candidate for Kokrajhar East constituency and Assam Social welfare minister Ms . Pramila Rani Brahma welcomed the newly joined members .

      Brahma also inaugurated the Athiabari election sub-committee office and addressed a public rally .

      Talking to media persons,Brahma said that she has been contesting the assembly election for the straight 7th term and is confident of winning from the constituency and added that BPF will emerge victorious in all the 12 constituencies with massive support during the assembly elections.

      She has claimed that UPPL has no impact in the Assam assembly elections .

      She was hopeful that the Congress led Mahajoth would be forming government in the state by winning majority of the seats across the state.
