Kokrajahar (Assam), April 25: Responding to the appeal from state government to cut down 50% percent monthly tuition fees of students in private schools across the state during the lockdown period , the Upendra National Academy , a private Bodo medium school here has given a rebate of 50% percent fees for the school students for the month of April this year.,
Approximately an amount of Rs 1-crore fees for the month of April have been been waived off from all the UN Academy Schools across the state.
Nearly 20,000 students are presently undergoing higher studies in 80 schools (Nursery to PG classes) in different districts of the state.
In Kokrajhar main campus of UN Academy, 16 lakhs of student’s fees have been waived off by 50% percent for the month of April as per the government’s direction to ensure fee reduction amongst the students.
The UN Academy has been imparting quality education in Bodo medium schools across the state and this was established in the year 2002 where teachers are rendering selfless services to ensure healthy educational environment.
Director of the UN Academy,Kokrajhar ,Krishna Gopal Basumatary said that the UN Academy management board has decided to give 50% percent fees relaxation to the students during the lockdown periods for the month of April.
He informed that monthly fees amounting to around 1 crore for the month of April would be waived off from 20 thousand students in 80 schools spread across the state as per the guidelines and direction from the state government .
