Kokrajhar (Assam) ,Dec 17: The newly sworn -in BTC deputy chief deputy chief Gabinda Chandra Basumatary, executive members (EMs) Ganashyam Das,Gautam Das and Diganta Baruah assumed office at BTC Secretariat in Kokrajhar today and vowed to work for people’s welfare and development in the council region .
Newly inducted Deputy chief of BTC Gabinda Chandra Basumatary assumed his office this morning said that people’s welfare and development services would be his top priority during his tenure as the deputy chief.
He said that UPPL BJP GSP alliance government will ensure upliftment of the common masses.
The three BTC Executive Members , Ganashyam Das,Gautam Das and Diganta Baruah also assumed their offices at BTC administration and met officials and staff of the BTC Secretariat.
Four more executive members were inducted in the BTC executive council on Thursday. They are Ranjit Basumatary(Chirang Duar),Ukhil Mushahary(Kachugaon)Arup Kumar Dey(Fakiragram) and Ranendra Narzary(Suklai Serfang).
All elected members of Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly will take oath in assembly session to held on Friday at BTC Legislative Assembly Hall.
The session would be chaired by Katiram Boro as pro-term speaker in the BTC Legislative Assembly.
Boro was elected to the the BTC Legislative Assembly from Baganpara constituency.
