Kokrajhar (Assam) ,Jan 5: A meeting of BTC authorities with all student organisation and social organisations representing different communities was held at BTC Secretariat field Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar on Monday .
The programme was organised by BTC government which was chaired by CEO Pramod Boro.
Altogether 37 organisations from the region participated and core issue was to discuss on various issues and restoring integration and unity among all the communities residing in the council region .
Addressing the meet , CEM Pramod Boro said that the get-together and consultation with student union and social organisations was organised for bringing peace and tranquility amongst all the sections of the society residing in the region.
“We need an integrated government and accordingly formed the government through the public mandate. We are committed to work for the welfare and development services for the citizens”.
He emphasized for the protection of various languages and cultures of the various communities residing in the council region .
He informed that his government has been setting up community happiness cell centre in the council.
“The coalition government is setting up community Bhawan in the districts student’s hostels would be established.The CHD and officers are not going properly while discharging their respective duty and responsibilities in the fields”,he said adding that officers and employees must dedicate their time and take up responsibilities.
“Government is for people and officers must render their services in their respective fields”,he said.
He has assured of that all promises and assurances given during the election would be implemented properly in days to come.
He has asked the students unions to come forward to work for the welfare and development through the deeply coordination.
“Students union assembly must be continued to meet heathy communication to uplift and develop the services of the society.
BTC administration will extend financial support and welfare aspects towards the ushering of social integration.
He has opined of healthy democracy with extending cooperation and helping hand towards the good governance where peoples participation must be created in the healthy democracy.
Participating the consultation programme, ABSU president Dipen Boro has extended his gratefulness to the BTC authorities for facilitating a space to share information on issues and grievances of the student unions which are representing different communities across the region.
He has expressed his hopeful that the UPPL-BJP-GSP combined coalition government in BTC led by Pramod Boro is paving the way healthy development and tranquility amongst the society.
Kokrajhar Lok Sabha MP Naba Kumar Sarania has lauded the consultation programme initiated by BTC authority that ushered healthy participation from different student unions. He alleged that people cutting across the communities were being deprived of healthy communication and uplift in last 17 years during the BPF ruled BTC administration,but today within short span of days,citizens are assured of getting better governance under the leadership of Pramod Boro.
He has appealed all sections in the society to come forward for ushering of social upliftment across the region.
Participating student bodies and social organisations including All Rabha Students Union, AAMSU,ABMSU,Nath Yogi Students Union have appreciated the initiative carrying out a consultation programme with BTC authority which have paved the way healthy integration and communication.
“The programme was historic and a milestone of peace and tranquility environment building amongst the society in the BTR region where all community organisations participated with wholeheartedly. We have not getting such a space to express our thinking and issues of the communities in last 17 years.But today,we get an opportunity to express issues and grievances of the particular community”,said AAMSU president Rejaul Karim Sarkar.
BTC deputy chief Gabinda Chandra Basumatary,BTC speaker Katiram Boro,BTC executive members Diganta Baruah,Gautam Das,Arup Kumar Dey,Ukil Mushahary,Ganashyam Das, BTC MCLA Dharma Narayan Das were prominent attendees in the event.
Meanwhile, an Executive Council meeting of the Bodoland Territorial Council was held at BTC Secretariat conference hall on Monday .
The EC meeting discussed on the development and welfare aspects of the BTC administration and adopted several resolutions.
Earlier in the morning, BTC CEM Pramod Boro held a meeting with executive member(EMs), BTC Principal Secretary, Secretaries, dignitaries and all department council head of department(CHDs) about the progress and next planning for the region.
He has urged the all official and CHDs to render selfless services while discharging their duty and responsibilities.
Meanwhile, UPPL working president Rwngwra Narzary said, “The UPPL-BJP-GSP combine coalition parties are contesting unitedly in the upcoming Assam assembly elections and necessary strategies have been made”, .
