Kokrajhar (Assam),Nov 26: “BPF will face massive defeat in the ensuing BTC elections to be held on Dec 7 and Dec 10 for the 40 member house”, said ex Rajya Sabha MP and newly inducted BJP member Biswajit Daimary.
Addressing the reporters on Thursday at the BJP party office here , ex MP Biswajit Daimary said that common voters are voting in favour of BJP this time for development.
He said, “BJP will score absolute majority in the BTC council elections and form the next BTC council to pave way for good governance and healthy development”.
While lambasting his former party BPF , he said that the BPF has totally failed to work for the welfare and development for the citizens. He said that BPF will face massive defeat in the council elections due to their misrule in BTC administration for the past 17 years.
” There are over three thousand crore liability in different departments of Bodoland Territorial Council( BTC) administration during the last 15 years due to massive corruption and anomalies. The common citizens were deprived from developmental aspects in four districts of the BTAD administration as BPF leadership was busy collecting money for their own pockets “,he said.
BJP as a party is committed to work for the welfare and development of all communities in the state as well across the region.
“BPF leadership never thought for the welfare and development of the common masses and were only bothered about their self interest and earned personal properties”, Daimary said adding that BPF leaders built their own buildings, but not for citizens through the government schemes and projects which were flowed from governments.
BJP is contesting in 26 seats and extending support to one independent candidate contesting from Srirampur seat in the ensuing BTC council elections.
Daimary said that he has joined the BJP not to be chief or executive member or leader in BTC ,but to serve the common masses through good governance and welfare services.
He said that BJP is a platform where people’s welfare and development would get outmost opportunity.
Blaming the BPF , he alleged that several hundred crores of developmental packages were given from the centre and state yet no substantial development has come up in the council region.
He said election manifesto of the BJP will be officially released on Friday in Kokrajhar where Assam state BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass,Assam Health and Education minister and NEDA convenor ,Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma would be present.
