Guwahati( Assam) , June 6 : There has been a remarkable improvement in the Covid -19 situation in the state with 37 deaths and 2228 new cases reported in the state in the past 24 hours .
In a tweet , chief minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma said 2228 new cases have been reported in the state in the last 24 hours out of which 309 cases have been detected in Kamrup ( Metro) .

The new cases were detected after conducting 73,648 tests .
The overall positivity percentage for the day was 3. 03 % and the recovery rate stood at 87.46 % .
