Imphal(Manipur), June 6 : The state reported 823 new cases and 9 deaths today. The total number of infections in the state has reached 55,230 with 881 deaths. The number of active cases in the state stands at 9,184.
The positive cases from the general population are from Imphal East (192), Imphal West (245),Thoubal (86), Bishnupur (49), Kakching (69), Ukhrul (12), Churachandpur (71), Chandel (6), Senapati (1), Tamenglong (3), Tengnoupal (14), Kangpokpi (7), Kamjong (9), Jiribam (56) and Noney (1) according to the Health Department.
In the last 24 hours, the State Level Covid 19 Deaths Audit Committee reported nine COVID-19 deaths. Four persons from Imphal East, three from Imphal West, and one each from Kangpokpi and Kakching died at RIMS (1), JNIMS (5), Raj Medicity (3). The death toll has now reached 881.
As per the Health Department, 646 persons were discharged, out of which 478 are from home isolation, 12 are from RIMS (9) and JNIMS (3) and the rest 156 are from other Covid care facilities. The recovery rate is 81.77 per cent.
