Guwahati (Assam), April 4 : Five more persons have been tested positive for coronavirus in Assam, tweeted Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday.

He said that one of the persons with covid-19 hails from Golaghat while three others are from Kamrup (metro), Kamrup and Marigaon.
He informed that two out of these three cases are patients who are related to Nizamuddin Markaz event.
Meanwhile, the first COVID-19 positive patient from Guwahati Manish Tibrewal from a housing complex Spanish Garden located opposite the Assam State Zoo has taken the social media to make his status public and has requested all those who were in contact with him for past two weeks to get themselves examined .
According to information available Manish his family which consists of his wife and two children and were on home quarantine for past one week .
His was found COVID-19 positive on Friday midnight and immediately admitted at GMCH ICU ward for treatment.
A team of doctors today visited the family members who are on home quarantine at Spanish Garden and screened them . The entire apartment and nearby areas extending upto 1 km is being sanitized presently .
