Assam Covid Count : 2595 new cases ; 8 more deaths on Saturday

Guwahati ( Assam) , Sept 19 : 8 more Covid deaths were reported in the state on Saturday taking the official death toll to 548 .

On Saturday a total of 2595 new cases were detected in the state today taking the total number of cases in the state to 155453 .

Among the new cases , 553 were reported from Kamrup Metro, 205 from Jorhat , 199 from Lakhimpur and 173 from Golaghat .

Health Minister , Dr. H .B Sarma tweeted , “📌Alert ~ 2595 #COVID cases detected today out of 35175 tests.

Positivity Rate- 7.38%
