Guwahati (Assam), July 13 : 4 more persons died on Monday due Covid in the state .
According to official sources , the victims include Uttam Das aged 31 years from Golaghat ,Kesab Kumar Barua aged 62 from Kamrup Metro , Kartik Kalita aged 30 years from Kamrup Metro and Dr. Jahan Iqbal Ahmed from Guwahati.
Dr. Jahan Iqbal Ahmed was an associate professor of Guwahati Medical College in the Ophthalmology department .
Confirming the deaths, health minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted ,“Sad to inform that Shri Uttam Das (31) of Golaghat, Shri Keshab Kumar Barua (62) of Kamrup (M) Shri Kartik Kalita (30) of Kamrup (M) and Dr. Jahan Iqbal Ahmed (56), Associate Professor GMCH, succumbed to #COVID19 today.My heartfelt condolences to the families.”
