Shillong ( Meghalaya), March 5 : The suspense and political uncertainty has finally ended on Sunday night which the United Democratic Front ( UDP) and People’s Democratic Front (PDF) finally deciding to align with the Conrad Sangma – led alliance .
The UDP with 11 and PDF with 2 legislators decided to part of the coalition government . The NPP already has 26 plus 2 MLAs from BJP and 2 from HSPDP and support of 2 independent candidates .

With this, the combine coalition now has a strength of 45 legislators .
The legislators from the both the new allies handed over their letter of support to the Chief Minister , this evening at his residence .
Earlier taking to media, CM Conrad Sangma had said that certain positive outcome was in the offing .
With today developments , the suspense and political uncertainty and has finally ended .
On Monday morning all the 59 legislators will sworn -in as legislators at the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly here. Next morning CM Conrad Sangma will be sworn -in as Chief Minister by the newly appointed Governor Phagu Chauhan at Raj Bhavan .
The programme is likely to be attended by Prime Minister Modi , Home Minister Amit Shah and NEDA Chief Himanta Biswa Sarma .
