Shillong (Meghalaya), July 11 : The state government has announced total lockdown in Shillong city on Monday and Tuesday due to the sudden surge of Covid cases in the city .
The Lockdown would be applicable in the state capital and its outskirts and will be under curfew till 6 am of Tuesday .

Chief Minister , Conrad Sangma tweeted , “The Government has decided to observe the next two working days i.e on the 13 & 14th of July, 2020 as Total #Lockdown in the Shillong City agglomeration. During this time, Shillong city and surrounding areas shall be under curfew till 6 AM of the 15th of July, 2020.”
A total of 76 new Covid positive cases were detected in the state on Saturday morning taking the total number of cases to 262 .
